The Best Running Gear On The Planet
Brooks is passionate about the daily run
Running is a gift. Run happy.
Every day with a run is better. Every run brings you closer to your best self. And you end every run in a better place than you started.
Brooks does one thing: build great running gear. When you focus on what you do best, you do it better. Brooks’ goal is to make each run better than the last. This guides every engineering choice they make.
They’re obsessed with the body in motion. They engineer their gear in the lab, but they bring it to life on the unique, real-world humans who will wear it. This is the result of tireless biomechanical research with runners of every size, strength and experience. But most of all, it’s the result of listening.
They sweat every detail. Brooks’ process is simple: create solutions for runners, test them over miles, assess feedback and repeat. Every groove in the soles of your shoes, every inch of fabric in your gear and every single stitch has a reason to exist. If it doesn’t improve your run, you won’t see it in Brooks gear.
The planet is our home.
More than 100 million people run outside, so it’s critical we care for the world we share. That means working to minimize our environmental impact, creating positive social impact, and being transparent about areas where we can do better. All the while, Brooks gives back and lifts causes that get people moving.
They’re runners, too. This is as much for Brooks as it is for you. Their offices have locker rooms. They run at lunch. In between meetings. Pretty much anytime they can. Put simply, they make the best running gear on the planet because they want to go running in it.

Over 100 years of Specialized Footwear - In 1914, Brooks began in a small factory in Philadelphia that made ballet slippers and bathing shoes. They went on to make baseball, football, and softball cleats that would be worn by famous athletes. They even made roller skates and children’s shoes at one point in the 1920’s and 30’s. In 1972, Brooks decides to focus on running shoes. Brooks continues it’s commitment to great running gear today by continuing to listen to feedback from Olympic athletes and runners of all abilities. Their innovative technology over the years have helped people with overpronation and stability problems, shock absorption, and were the first to make anatomically correct footwear specifically for women.
