Birkenstock Footwear

Birkenstock footwear is renowned for their cork and latex footbeds, as well as for their functionality. For more than 225 years Birkenstock has been creating quality footwear using only premium products and materials. Their high-grade leather, suede, nubuck and non-leather uppers are dyed all the way through creating a long-lasting appearance.

The Birkenstock family of products encompasses several brands - Alpro, Birkenstock, Birki's, Footprints, Papillio, and Tatami. Each brand provides customers with a unique set of attributes such as fabrics, patterns, colors, style, and fit. All Birkenstock brands are built upon the same heritage. While most styles are crafted from a cork-latex mixture, all Birkenstock brand sandals, clogs and shoes are designed for walking comfort.

Birkenstock footwear has designed their unique contoured footbed, shock-absorbing soles and specially designed buckles for years of comfort and durability. Almost every component of their shoes, sandals, or clogs can be repaired or replaced, making Birkenstock footwear a long-lasting investment in the health of your feet. Happy Feet Plus is an authorized Birkenstock Repair Facility.

Birkenstock footbeds are made of cork and natural latex, and contoured in the shape of a healthy foot. These contours ensure proper weight distribution with raised arches to help support the foot’s natural shape and structure. The toe bar allows the toes to grip and flex, stimulating circulation, exercising the legs, and helping to maintain balance. The deep heel cup keeps the foot’s natural padding under the heel to provide stability. As a result of these factors, the correct bones bear the weight of the body to keep the spine and legs in alignment.

Birkenstock first appeared in the U.S. over 30 years ago when Birkenstock USA founder Margot Fraser had a dream of sharing the comfort and health benefits of Birkenstock sandals. A few years earlier, while visiting a German resort, she had tried on her first pair and was extremely impressed at how good they felt. From there, Margot learned that the original Birkenstock contoured footbed was invented and manufactured in Germany by Konrad Birkenstock in 1897. In fact, the Birkenstock family has been shoemakers for more than two centuries creating and perfecting a tradition of walking comfort.

the perfect shoe. fits great.

The soft footbed is like a hug for my feet. The shoes run wide, so I get the narrow for my medium width feet. This pair is my new favorite Birkenstocks. I wish they had more color options, like peacoat in leather.

I am heavy and have a heel spur. I have worn Birks for many years. Because of the great arch support of Birks, my feet seldom hurt. This was my first pair of soft footbed. I really like them and will continue to look for the soft footbed in other Birks I buy in the future. Your web page was easy to use and the sevice and price were great. Thanks for being there!
