- Oiled leather has a heavily oiled finish; durable & moisture-resistant.
- Waxy leather has a finish applied to a buffed natural leather. Ages to a naturally distressed appearance.
- Sumatra leather is distressed to appear aged. Does not hold its shape like full-grain leather.
- Cortina leather has an embossed pattern.
- Patent leather is treated with a high-gloss, shiny finish.
- Embossed leather has been stamped using heat and high pressure to create a unique pattern or design.
- "Active 3D" embossed leather has texture and character added to traditional leather.
Leisure
MBT provides several different outsole profiles, each adapted to the use of the footwear. The rubber outsoles are made out of 20 different compounds and provide a perfect balance between grip and durability.
The Integrated Shank has Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) mixed with glass fibers to create an impact-resistant material with a high degree of stiffness.
The Masai Sensor consists of a soft Polyurethane (PU). The sensor produces a pleasant feeling, reminiscent of walking on natural, uneven ground. The softness is important to create the specific functionality (sink-in movement) of the MBT sole.
